Interview

Tell us a little bit about your personality. From what close friends tell me, I'm sweet & down-to-earth! Putting others before myself is what I'm known for; I'll take care of the ones I love first & make sure they're okay before I even start to think of myself. I'm very open to others & honest about my feelings & thoughts. If it's a negative thought, I'll keep it to myself: "If you don't have anything nice to say; don't say anything at all". I focus on positivity a lot no matter how bad situations are. I'm one of the ladies that likes to stay at home & hang out with my man & closest ladies rather than go out & party the night away. I'm very polite & well-mannered... I was taught well! I guess you could say I'm one of the few "good girls" left in this world!

How did you get into modeling? The first time I was a model, it was for a local multi-cultural fall runway event back in September 2006. I can still remember the thrill of strutting down the runway & all the cameras flashing around me. A little later on, I was contacted by friends that were photographers to do photoshoots with them so that I could be apart of their portfolio & start my own modeling portfolio. I've been addicting to modeling ever since -- it has only gone up from there! Being a go-go dancer has opened numerous doors as well with modeling; modeling & dancing at car shows: Global Import & Domestic Car Show, NHRA, Hot Import Nights, Battle of the Imports, paid to travel to Canada to go-go & have fun, meeting & working with other famous go-go models like Kat Gutierrez, Nikita Esco, Natalia Marie, DJ Hustle-Lin, Helen Su, & Jenny Chu, as well as numerous celebrities. Nowadays, I have a busy schedule; usually with a photoshoot each week.

What do you like most about being a model? What's not to like? *laughs* Well, let's see... I like that modeling is a delicate form of art. There's so many ideas that a model & a photographer can create into a beautiful picture. It's more than about smiling & looking pretty -- being a model involves hard work & dedication. Being healthy & fit -- exercising our booties off to look perfect infront of the camera or onstage, amazing posture, knowing how to "work" the camera, etc. When I look back at photos, I'm able to remember how hard I worked to make that picture.

What have been your highlights in your modeling career? Getting a full page spread in November on the 2009 National Patriot Girls calendar, being on numerous flyers & printwork, & getting a fully paid trip to travel to Vancouver, Canada! My ever-growing fan base that started off in the city -- I love you Seattle! -- with many friends & meeting new people everywhere I go!

Do you have any funny photo shoot or casting stories? There's always a funny photo shoot every month. :) My first photoshoot was with MB Photography at the beach & we wanted to get a shot close to the water. I was wearing jeans so when I sat down near the water's edge, a giant wave came up & soaked the entire back of my pants! We started laughing so hard; I had to wipe off the wet sand as best as I could off my jeans & continue the shoot... regardless to say, there were no back shots after that. lol Then my photoshoot with Erik Christensen Photography was an outdoor evening photoshoot with an import car & motorcycle. We shot with the bike at an empty parking garage until security kicked us out for spending too much time there. Then when we were shooting with the car, it started sprinkling for a minute... stopped, & then there were large gusts of wind. Mind you, this is Seattle in the winter time... so it's about maybe between 40-50 degrees while I'm wearing very little. So I ended up cold, wet, then completely frozen by the end of the shoot, but the photographer & I as well as everybody involved had a good laugh.

Any photographers you enjoy working with or hope to work with? Some of the very many favorite photographers that I have worked with are: Mark Dickerson, Cliff Estes, & James Fu. Some photographers that I hope to work with soon are: Steve Bitanga - he's taken candids of me before, we've never done a shoot together; & Russell (aka Rsellos)... both have amazing work!

What is something people would be surprised to know about you? Special talents? Well, since I've been a dancer since age 2, I'm pretty flexible. haha I've danced just about every type of dance there is... ballet, lyrical, traditional Chinese, bellydancing, hula, ballroom, Latin ballroom, hip-hop, b-girling, etc. Been swimming since age 3; did my years of swimming lessons, swim team, being a swim instructor, & a lifeguard.

If you could customize any car, what would it be? What color? If I could customize any car... it'd probably have to be an Infiniti G37; new rims, exhaust, headlights & taillights, suspension, sound system, & get the windows tinted as dark as I legally could. The exterior would be blue with silver flakes in the paint... it would sparkle! & a blue & black interior... racing seats, etc.

What internet websites do you spend most of your time on? I'll admit it... I'm a hardcore Myspace addict -- just add me & you'll see! But when I'm not Myspacing up a storm, I'm on my ModelMayhem account, Nutekspeed, & car websites looking for the hottest new rides!

What do you like to do when you're not modeling? Hobbies? Well, I love to dance! Going out to dinner -- it gets expensive sometimes, & watch movies -- I could eat buttered popcorn for days... not quite sure why I'm still skinny sometimes *laughs*, & spend time with my man! :)

What is your biggest pet peeve? Tobacco... gosh it smells so bad! I can't stand it sometimes... seriously makes me want to vomit when the smell's overwhelming & men in committed relationships that flirt, look, & talk about other women... can't those idiots see that your woman's completely in love with you & won't even glance at another guy?! Jeez... men like that don't deserve significant others.

Where do you see yourself five years from now? Hopefully 5 years from now, I'd have gotten on the cover of a national import magazine (so I can go to the store & see myself on a magazine rack. haha It'd be something to show my future grandkids when I'm 60 -- "Look babies! G-ma used to be an import model!"), be a marketing director of a major company, & be married to the love of my life.

Any last words to your supporters and future fans? I seriously love all of you! :) I wouldn't be anywhere without all your support & encouragement! Thanks Nutekspeed! It's been wonderful!
